I have to quote for a new client exporting automobile / engineering parts to Germany on DDP basis . hence I want to know the duty .

When we had to have an engine block shipped over to us, it was the standard 19% VAT.
If the client is in Germany on US military orders, have them go over to the Customs office and they can get a special tax exemption form and they don’t have to worry about the inbound duty charge.
