for ur help
<3 <3 <3

1. Economic growth associated with controlled inflation. Social programs with reasonable success that caused a better income distribution and improving HDI (Human Development Index).

2. Yes. Full fledged (formal) democracy since 1989. Even before that, the transition from military to civil government was peaceful. The country has experienced lawful and ordered alternation in the power between different political groups.

3. Football (soccer), Music (Tom Jobim, Samba, etc.) and Bio-fuels.

4. Not sure with what you mean with your question, but Brazil stands almost entirely in the Western-Southern Hemisphere (there are two small tips in the Northern Hemisphere), in South America. It has territorial borders with all other South American states, with the exception of Chile and Ecuador.

5. Brazil exports mainly commodities (iron ore, soy beans, etc.) and basic industrial products, but it now exports cars and air planes as well (Embraer is a major local company) The country imports industrial machinery, electronics, gas (mainly from Bolivia) and oil (Brazil produces a lot of oil, but it is mostly heavy and low quality oil so the country still needs to import loads of it).

Hope to have been of help.

1. i dont know, all i know is that its the most important country in south america

2. yes its pretty stable, not the best though, democracy since 1989 (the year i was born, thats how i remember that lol)- there are alot of scandals throughout the media though- it is quite sad to see little children begging for food on the street. most of the country is like middle class-ish. and in the rainforest, some people still live like indians! can you believe it!

3. A) soccer!! they have the world record for the most world cups won! which is 5! in the years 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and 2002 – they are by far the best soccer team in the world. everyone knows the brazilians are the best at soccer, there is no denying that fact. "the english created it, brazilians perfected it." they are nearly unstoppable. their colors are green, yellow, and blue by the way.

B) carnaval!! its amazing!! there are these amazing floats and everyone dresses up, (even though its with barely any clothes lol) and yes the "dressing up" includes just painting themselves and dancing on a float naked. they admire and flaunt the beauty of the human body alot. google it because its amazing. its basically a giant loud fun party and everyone has an awesome time – oh, and they play Samba music, whch is what they are famous for. – it really shows the diversity in the cultutre, when you go there you see EVERY different color. my grandma is white, my grandpas black, and my mom is directly in between. wherever you go, you see every color and shape and its amazing. nobody judges you based on color and i luv it. here in the US my grandparents still get funny looks from people when we are walking in the mall. i get so pissed when i see that.

C) the brazilian bikini wax! lol – there were seven brazilian sisters that came to the US and opened a salon where they offered a "brazilian" bikini wax. these sisters, called the J sisters, opened up so many doors which led to other kinds of waxes that americans had never even heard of before. when these sisters came to the US they were soo poor, (we actually know them) they would play with my aunt and my mom when they were little. they always had a dream of working hard and becoming rich, but they never believed it could happen. now there clients include oprah, naomi campell, tyra banks, and many other models. – i guess since brazilian bikinis are so small, they needed more off than just a normal wax could give lol

D) The Amazon! everyone knows the amazon rainforest! It is soo cool, and there are still people who live like indians there and they let tourists go visit certain areas. Its amazing to see the animals and different species throughout the rainforest.

although i have to admit that brazil is kind or obsessed with beauty, if you dont look perfect (long hair, clear complexion, big boobs, toned body), then you are an outcast.

4. it is the fifth largest country in the world (US is the third) and its the biggest country in south america, its locatecd to the east. its so big that it touches all but two coutries in south america: chile and ecuador. its sourrounding countries are: guyana, french guyanna, cayenne, venezuela, columbia, peru, bolivia, paraguay, argentina, and uraguay. oh ya and it touches the atlantic ocean.if you miss it then you are an idiot, no offense but its huge!

5. banannas (many dif kinds), coconuts, coffee (yum), white rice, black beans, fish, alcohol, we have the best (drinking age is 18 by the way)

*oh, and when you greet someone you kiss them on the cheeks – beijos

watch the movie "my big fat greek wedding", (yes i know its not brazil) but that family is exactly what a brazilian family is like. its huge (example: i have 13 uncles and like a million cousins, just on one side of my family) and loud, everyone is always in your business all the time. but its the greatest feeling ever and you get used to it. you have basically a party every night and its so much fun with all those people. (when they bring friends, its even bigger and simply amazing!

I HOPE I HELPED :)

1. Brazilian DHI is high (0.8) / Brazilian economy is already 2 trillion and it´s growing. In 2008 it will be the 6th largest economy of the planet/ BOVESPA (brazilian stock exchange) will be larger than NYSE ( New York stock exchange) in 2009. Brazil is already the second most important country of the Americas, and the most important economy of the south hemisphere.

2. Brazilian governmet is very stable. On the other hand, there are a lot of scandals, but this happens because the media loves to scream and make brazilians furious.

3. Soccer, Samba, Amazon.

4. Latin America.

5. Brazil exports airplanes, mobile phones, soy, iron, computers, bananas and etc. Brazil imports chinese stuffs (and only it, if I remember). We are importing new technologies from USA, but it doesn´t last too much – our country fastly copies the technology and starts to produce it here).
