I have provided proof that I’m not the person that should have been billed. And they continue to add the other persons charges to my bill and have even sent it to a collection agency. The account was opened in 1985, and I’m only 25 years old. I have filed a complaint with my state department of commerce. I want to know what else I can do legally, for the harassment from the utility company and collection agency, and the negative mark on my credit report.

You can go to court and ask the court to seek an injunction to have the company to cease and dissent using your name on material billing without proof prior to your engaging in a lawsuit w/ them.
