Are there any restrictions about maple syrup export to the USA?

by admin on October 8, 2009

I am a maple syrup distributor in Ontario for my brother’s maple syrup operation based in Quebec. I am researching and looking for info regarding any restrictions that there may be about maple syrup crossing the border. Since it is a food product, I am wondering if there are any special permits or anything I should get. I only have single individuals to send to and none is likely going to grow in anything large scale or involving large shipments.

Any info or tips will be appreciated.

Thank you all.

I don’t think they will have aby ristrictions on this at all, you may have to pay some sort of export fee or something, I’m not to sure. i don’t think there is a law that restricts the export of these products
