What is your thought of Chuck Schumer, the "raise fed taxes on gasoline" demodonkey?

by admin on February 9, 2010

Isn’t it funny that Chuck Schumer would rather tax the heck out of Americans than be positive about tax rebates?

"It’s galling to think that taxpayers’ stimulus checks will be lining the pockets of OPEC. The sad truth is that the average American family will spend almost their entire stimulus check on higher gas prices this year," said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., chairman of the Joint Economic Committee of Congress.

OPEC is the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries.

"Unless the administration gets OPEC to increase oil supply, American consumers are going to be in for a scorching summer of $4 gasoline with no relief in sight," Schumer said.

I say Schumer should resign for being among the most stupid and pessimistic politician toward the American people in America.

Supporters say that a higher gasoline tax would raise huge sums, would be simple to administer and would preserve reductions in income-tax rates. Supporters also say an increase would curb fuel consumption, which would benefit the environment and help narrow the trade deficit and add to America’s energy security by reducing the need for foreign oil.

(((”This is one tax that makes sense even if we didn’t need the revenue,”))) said Representative Charles E. Schumer, a Brooklyn Democrat who is a member of the Banking, Finance and Urban Affairs Committee. Mr. Schumer and others have noted that a gasoline tax is regressive, applying equally to all gasoline buyers but imposing a relatively heavier burden on consumers with low incomes. But Mr. Schumer said that situation could be alleviated through annual rebates to low-income consumers.
This is one tax that makes sense??? How high is the tax in NYC on gas, Mr Schumer? To be truthful, democrats believe that all taxes makes sense, even the DEATH TAX!

Notice, most democrats despise lower taxes and rebates! Yet another reason to use your brain and vote for the least liberal democrat, John McCain.

Chuckie showing once again why he’s completely clueless, as the problem isn’t the oil supply; it’s the condition of the dollar.
