American companies export to Cuba even though they have a trade embargo with Cuba. Why aren’t these companies penalized by the American government instead of the government looking the other way

Canada has no trade embargo with Cuba, and its mostly Canadian oil companies that have the rights to drill~!!!
i wonder how many of our well connected high end polititians are connected to this enterprise~??!!!
just like taking prisoners to somewhere they dont have any laws against toture or human rights, and yes also for a few boxes of those fine cigars~!!!

Point one: There is no American government. Do you mean the United States? Point two: like it or not, Canada is a major part of America. Point three: The United States had no restrictions on trade with Cuba when it was "governed" by the DICTATOR Batista who was controlled by the Mafia. Between the government of the USA and Batista the poor people of Cuba never had a chance.The USA should hang its head in shame for the way it has treated CUBA.
