funding?
Make and show off a business plan to investors. If it’s a good enough business they would be glad to invest in it with you. Go to your city’s website and sometimes they have a link to investors that are willing to invest in businesses. Don’t go for a bank loan unless that is the absolute last thing…even then be wary about that. www.SizzlingSkillet.com

Just see a business banker at any major bank. They are bonused heavily on new business. They will do everything they can to get you a loan. Be prepared to guaranty the loan personally. Any financial docs you have to support the request can only help. Unless they show a loss, of course.

Funding it with equity from investors would be a great way to start if you are incorporated. If not then you may be looking at having to obtain a loan and securing it against any assets you may have.

You have a Small Business Development Center located in your area. They are a non profit free service that can assist you in making that decision. They can also assist with a business plan and proposal for the bank if needed. A lot depends on how much of a loan you need. Most the time collateral or owner investment of some kind is a requirement.
