how to get licence, how to begin and what is minimum investment
I deal with an import/export person. He is in contact with the major factories over seas that make tools and plumbing parts. Over seas they copy an original item as long as the patent has expired (7 years).
You need to get in touch with an importer in the States first and what you do is promote and sell what they have to offer. You receive a commission on what you sell. Sometimes the commission can be as low as 2% of the total sale. The Home Depot and places like Lowe’s won’t even talk to you, so don’t even bother with the big boys. They are usually under contract with an import/export sales person already. You need to make contact with the small mom and pop hardware stores and they could get you in touch with an import/export sales person that they currently are using.
It’s a cut throat business, but through the years I became loyal to this one salesman. So you will have competition for the same stores from other sales people that are doing the same thing that you are. I use to purchase from a company called ROC for faucets, valve stems and things like that. The name ROC stands for Republic of China. You can find ROC products in just about every small ACE hardware store. Stop by and see if they would introduce you to the sales rep they use. Mine came in every two weeks, so you may have to schedule an appointment.
Good Luck
