Ok I have just bought a new HDTV, a Samsung 20" Syncmaster with 1080p etc, and it’s got a built-in TV Tuner. Now I read the manual but couldn’t really understand… how I use the TV Tuner.
I know next to nothing about these Tuner things so please if anyone can help me. Basically I’d like to record a game I’m playing and then export it to my Mac if possible. I just need some assistance actually accessing the Tuner.

The Tuner needs to be connected to either an antenna or cable.
Then go to the TV settings and do a channel scan. specify if you have antenna (Air) or Cable. After the scan is over you can use your TV.

BUT TRANSFERRING IT is another thing…..(right TV guy?)
You see, the Syncmaster monitor is a COMBO unit…..it’s a monitor that has SEPARATE circuits to convert the TV signal into a usable signal on your monitor…..
And that signal WILL NOT feed back into your computer….it wasn’t wired to do that…..it’s only wired to display on your LCD panel !!
So…..to record a game FROM TV and Export it to your MAC…..
IS……
IMPOSSIBLE……
DANG!!! And you thought you got a good deal !
So now you still have to buy a TV card for your MAC, and get the recording software that records the games….
DANG!! That sucks!
I hate having to tell you that, but I’ve had to deal with your situation before…..
