I have a customer who wants to import data from me into QuickBooks and export data to me.
Any thoughts?
Yes. If you both have the same version of quick books you can back up the data onto an extenal device, or on the hard drive (they don’t reccommend the latter). You can then email the backup back and forth after you do things on it (and back up afterwards
) and restore it onto your computer.
To Backup:
File
Back-Up
Select file name (I change the date on my backups everytime)
Select backup location (C Drive or other location)
Click Ok
Then once in your email,
attach as a file finding it in your computer
To Restore:
Their backup will be on their email to you.
click on download the attachment and save to your computer.
Call up QuickBooks
You’ll see a little window
Click on Restore Company File
Click top browse button to find where you saved the backup
click bottom browse button to find where you want to restore to.
Find their company file.
Done!
I hope that’s what you’re asking….
