My ex work colleague recently lodged a grievance at work over her treatment throughout her employment. She had to state situations and hand them to the manager beforehand.
At the grievance meeting he has blamed everything on me, which is a total lie which I can prove. The management have no people skills whatsoever which is the main reason I resigned over a year ago. Surely he cannot do this ? Any advice?
Your employer is trying to shed blame, obviously. It will not work, because the employer is responsible for any actions of his employees (including you).
In any event, this doesn’t affect YOU at all, nothing that happens in this grievance process has any impact on you, you cannot be held liable. If you want to help your co-worker, you could perhaps try agreeing to testify, but it’s not necessary, and arguably it’s not useful.

You’re being blamed for a situation when you haven’t been there for a year. You’re being used as a scape goat. Unless this is a legal proceeding, you’re under no obligation to attend this meeting.

Unless she is trying to sue and someone wants you to say it’s not true or true, I’d stay out of it. She looks silly, they look silly. You haven’t worked there a long time, and I don’t think it has any bearing on your name at where you currently work.
Even if she is suing, I’d stay out of it, unless she brings it to your current workplace and tries to ruin your job.
