I dont recall reading anywhere in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution that it is our task to tell other people in the world how they should live. When they attack us thats one thing, but this whole notion that it’s America’s god-given responsibility to export our "values" seems like something some liberal would dream up.
The government’s responsibility is to keep us safe within our borders…if doing that means exporting democracy to stop military dictators from becoming too powerful, that is pretty conservative.

And that is why we should keep our nose out of everyone else’s business. Once America is perfect, then we can go around telling other countries what they should do.
I’m a liberal, and forcing their values on others is a conservative thing.

It’s alyays been that way. It is at the heart of Imperialism, Teddy Roosevelt used that excuse in the Philippines and Cuba. Missionary’s travel the world spreading christian values to savages around the world. The settlers thought the native indians were savages and needed christianity. The National Endowment for Democracy (very conservative organization) is attempting to oust Hugo Chavez in Venezuela.
Human rights and democracy is just a cover story for imperialists who want to absorb the wealth of the world for themselves. Anyone who believes otherwise is a fool…
