8. The countries with the highest GDP per capita in Europe are Norway and Switzerland. Both export more, proportionately, to the EU, than Britain does.

9. Outside the EU, Britain could be a deregulated, competitive, offshore haven.

The United Kingdom and its people have never ever benefited from membership of the European Union. To paraphrase Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 1st January, 1973 became the UK’s ‘Day of Infamy!’ From that day onward we, as a nation, have been restricted within an ever tightening strait jacket. Edward Heath’s betrayal of his people in 1973 became reinforced in 1975 when 67% of the British public, conned by politicians’ lies and media misinformation voted in favour of continued membership. At this point the Germans and French threw the full force of their combined hate of this country into achieving that which neither Napoleon nor Hitler could manage. Between them they bullied and harassed the weaker European mainland countries to join their malicious campaign the results of which are readily apparent today. They were supported by the Tory arch traitor John Major whose signature of the Maastrict Treaty on 7th February, 1992 confirmed the falseness of the ‘Common Market’ lie by revealing the true nature of the beast – the European Union!!
An entity based on the mainland with not one of it’s myriad operational/functional headquarters this side of the ENGLISH channel. Today, our Parliament has become an ineffectual talking shop, our taxes are based on EU models which our Treasury are obliged to impose. As individuals we face ever rising Value Added Tax as a means of meeting the EU’s demand for payment of over £45 million per day for the doubtful privilege of forced membership. Our cost of living is rising daily and the only true British possession we retain is the ever weakening Sterling currency, whose value, falsely kept at uncompetitive levels by the Continentals, could easily collapse and leave us defenceless for the first time in this once great country’s history! To survive, we must break away from the slave drivers of Europe. Will any of the so-called major parties craving our votes on May 6th have the guts to hold the referendum we need to re-achieve our freedom of their own volition? I think not! The only true anti-European Union political entity existent in this country is the United Kingdom Independence Party. It is possible a high proportional vote for them may well panic an incoming government to take the first step towards reclaiming our independent democracy and hold that referendum. It is most certainly worth a try!!

It infuriates me when no one in Parliament stands up to the often used Euro statement that goes as follows:

I was watching Gordon Brown today on BBC Parliament spouting off about the benefits of our EU membership, saying that 3 million UK jobs rely on Europe, that over 50% of our trade is with Europe and 750,000 companies do business with Europe – and therefore we should be in the EU.

David Cameron did not say:

"NO! These jobs, firms and exports rely on our trade with EUROPEAN COUNTRIES, not the EUROPEAN UNION supranational organisation. They sell more to us than we do to them, they will not cut off the trade with us if we were to withdraw from the EU structure and re-negotiate a purely free trade agreement."

Alas, it is now being proven that the EU is a ‘political’ creature designed to control laws and society, not just economic trade (just look at Merkel’s and Van Rompuy’s economic power grab). The genie, or rather the monster, is out of the bottle! So why don’t the Conservatives say that?

Gordon Brown is right you know. There are about 3 million jobs dependent on the EU membership.

That is about the number of EU citizens working over here in the EU companies that support them and not our own British workers.

If we withdrew from the EU then the EU workers would have to go home and the companies would then have to hire British people to do the jobs. Either that or pack up and go back home to their EU countries themselves. That wouldn’t work as they can’t ask their own countries to pay over the top for the goods and services they offer. My guess is they would remain here and employ British workers and keep charging the same prices. They would take a loss on profit but then they would still be doing business unlike if they went back to the home EU countries.

Cons/lab/libdems, only don’t want this to happen as the companies lobbyist wouldn’t pay them as much money to represent these same companies in our parliament nor their interest.

Sort of makes you wonder how much the MPs have been paid as they certainly have ripped the taxpayer off here for a lot of money and still don’t represent us does’nt it?

Am I correct in my thinking that all vendors’ equipment would require the customer to pay VAT taxes on equipment regardless of the origin? That is shipping from inside or outside the UK (EU)? It is the duties that will differ?

Yes, the VAT tax is payed on shipments inside of the UK and also incoming to the UK.
The duties will be paid on items that are shipped to the UK from another country and will vary depending on how it is accessed in the export countries customs and in the UK customs. Duties will not be accessed on shipments within the UK.

It depends what and how much you’re planning to import. Is it just for personal use? Then all you have to look up is the customs in the country you want to export it to! Its probably a few kgs of meat, cheese and candy.

If you want to import large quantities of food for distribution etc. there are different rules, you should probably talk to import companies or similar…
