I just set up a small company in Singapore, doing import and export . I wish to set up a simple system of accounts, but have no idea how.

Any guidelines I should follow ? or should I just leave this to the accountant?

I think the best way to start is with IRAS website. The website has lot of info and perhaps that’s the easiest way. If you intend to use a PC or some software for accounting tracking even excel could be fine to start with

Couple of my friends came up with an idea to open up a company to export some products to Europe. They are wondering what are the legal procedures to open up a company like this? Any online source of information or any ideas or is there anyone who got any clue related to this topic? Find a mentor within the company who has experience in the job that you want to attain. You should also inquire as to the possibility of joining organizations within your industry (the company might even help with the cost). No, in a real database there are too many tables to do that.

Some databases provide an export or import function. So, you export the data from one and import it into another. Oracle and SQL Server both support this.

There are also ways to backup the database. You can apply the backup to another database.
