Nowadays in india the garment exports are still success and getting of many orders from abroad.The different companies are exporting tones of materials to abroad.The online trading is fine and usually different parties are facing frauds.The exporting is only done by the demand letters and other correspondance letters once issued by the company,you can start exporting.

But, before giving the answer to your question, in general I will say, first you should have Import/Export License, then either you should be manufacturer or trader, then contacts in country where you want to do business. These three basic things with finance are required at first instance. But to reply little in detail,I would like to know first:- from which part of India do you want to operate?
What is your experience in business?
financial status for your business?
country do you want to export?

you can export any textiles of any nature, unless its not banned by the Uk government. I live in London and its easy to export textiles especially the ones you are talking about.
